Promotional video for Jotunheim

Sport 1 showcased its new clothing collection with nine videos filmed in one efficient production day.

Mission statement

Jotunheim contacted us after discovering us on Instagram. Sport 1 was organizing a digital trade show internally for their stores and wanted to showcase the new collection of their own brand, Jotunheim of Norway, with 9 videos. In addition to the trade fair, the videos were also to be used on social media (Instagram). The target group was therefore quite broad, and the videos had to be suitable for both customers and store staff. To reach them, we decided to create a mood by showing the clothes in use out in nature, together with happy people.

How to proceed

Jotunheim made a list of all the garments they wanted to show and which ones should be in the same film, and they also brought in celebrities as models. We then started planning and developing ideas. The clothes were to be shown on different models, children, young people and adults. We came up with cinematic effects and concepts that the models could do in each film, which create good associations for the viewers. For the youngest children aged 3-5 years, we had, for example, soap bubbles and small water guns. For the youngsters, we had après-ski and shooting stars, and the family had a bonfire and a mountain hike. With good planning and clear concepts, we managed to shoot all the films we needed during a long working day. In addition, the Jotunheim team took the chance and snapped their own photos. As a result, they have an almost inexhaustible image bank for Instagram.

Strategy

Our video production had a strategic goal: to create two versions of each video. On the ones intended for store staff at the fair, we added info text explaining the features of the clothes, while on the versions for Instagram, we removed this text, turning the videos into mood videos to reinforce the brand. They also received each video in a customized format for both Instagram and web to fit seamlessly on the selected platforms.

Results

After delivering the project, we received a fun phone call from Jotunheim. They were delighted with the videos and were ready to pop the champagne! The trade fair was a success, and the stores got a good basis for selecting their products for next year’s season. In addition, Jotunheim received material for Instagram for the launch of the collection. We’re now on our third project together and can say that the collaboration between us has been a complete success.
