Relato received feedback during recruitment that applicants were missing information about them. Relato is a consultancy company that hires out to large companies where they work with change, management and development, often on assignments that are critical to society. At the same time, they invest a lot of time in socializing and having fun, and the atmosphere among the employees is good. On the website, Relato risked appearing «stiff», so they wanted to show what it’s actually like to work there – with film. Some key words that were important were genuineness, professional thirst, unpretentious and light-hearted.

Fremgangsmåte

The most important thing was to showcase the people in a real, honest and down-to-earth way. That’s why we chose not to have a script, but to write down questions we wanted to ask everyone. That way it was as natural as possible. Relato wanted to go into work tasks, the consultant role and expertise, but also the environment, culture and activities. Relato had seen something in our portfolio that they particularly liked, they commented, among other things, on a perceived closeness and calm balance they saw as something they also wanted, which we believe the end result shows that we achieved, largely thanks to the good interviewees.

Strategi

When we first produce a film, we always think about how the customer can get the most out of the shoot. Initially, they wanted a recruitment film of 90-120 seconds. The material we were left with were nice interviews of several employees and clip images, for example of them working, having a meeting, smiling and chatting at work. In addition to the long version, we also cut short versions of 30 and 15 seconds. The full-length version was delivered in 16:9 as the area of use here was the website and LinkedIn. The short versions were adapted to social media and delivered in three different formats (16:9, 9:16 and 4:5) for seamless use on multiple platforms. In the end, they got a bloopers video, which is great either for internal use or as something fun to post on LinkedIn.

This project consisted of nice people, nice premises and a successful result. Being able to film employees in a company that thrives so much makes it shine through on camera. They wanted a genuineness and «down-to-earthness», and we think the movie exudes that. This was a cool project to work on!

Resultat

During the editing process, we received great feedback from the people at Relato. The people who were filmed had nothing but nice feedback, and everyone who saw the video expressed great pleasure with the result. They highlighted good dynamics, nice transitions, nice editing of images, and good quotes that were included. All in all, we were told that we had captured much of the essence of the movie. We are proud of the great movie we delivered and it was great to work with the people at Relato.
